Hello and welcome! My name is Erin Fahey, and I am excited to be returning to ASU Prep this year as a first grade teacher. I love being part of the ASU Prep family and surrounded by such a positive learning community.
I am an ASU alumni- I graduated with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a certificate in teaching English as a Second Language.
I spent a summer teaching in a rural school in Tanzania, Africa and also spent a year teaching English in Madrid, Spain where I was able to combine my passion for teaching with my love of traveling.
After returning to the states, I taught second grade in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I'm originally from. Now, I'm happy to be back in Arizona for my third year with ASU Prep.
My goal as a first grade teacher is to instill a love of learning in children. I aim to not only help students develop the foundation of their education, but to guide them in becoming personally responsible, and kind members of both ASU Prep and their community.
When I'm not teaching at ASU, I teach yoga and fitness classes in Scottsdale. I love spending time with my family, being outside, hiking, and traveling.
I'm so excited for the 2018-2019 academic year!
